Maple Candied Nuts

This recipe is from the cookbook The Gluten Free Vegan by Susan O'Brien.

Recipe: see page 25 of The Gluten Free Vegan.
I like the idea of simple, natural candies that don't require special thermometers or double-boilers (see also Cashew and Date Nut Truffles).
This recipe from The Gluten Free Vegan is quick and easy to prepare. The nuts (I used pecans, but the recipe also suggests walnuts) are coated in maple syrup and baked. After they are cooled, the syrup forms a  crunchy sweet glaze. These can be eaten by themselves, or put on salads or ice cream.

Ingredients: pecans, maple syrup.
