Pasta e Fagioli

This recipe is from the cookbook Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero.

Pasta e Fagioli means pasta and beans. I read the positive reviews for this Veganomicon dish
on Vegweb and decided to give this a try, but it didn't do much for me. It seemed like it was missing something. Perhaps Pinot Grigio wasn't the best choice of dry white wine to use in this recipe.

Ingredients: plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, dry white wine (I used Pinot Grigio), thyme, oregano, black pepper, salt, white beans, small tube pasta.
