Snobby Joes

This recipe is from the cookbook Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero.

Recipe: see page 74 of Veganomicon.
Snobby Joe's are the vegan version of Sloppy Joe's, a staple of school cafeterias
across America. In this interpretation, ground beef is replaced with delicious high-protein lentils. It tastes just like Sloppy Joe's, kind of like chili but sweeter.  The texture is from lentils rather than meat, and it isn't as greasy because there is no animal fat.

Ingredients: lentils, onion, green bell pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, chili powder, oregano, maple syrup, prepared yellow mustard, olive oil, salt, sesame seed buns (or kaiser rolls).
